The other day I was shooting UCI’s Mens Waterpolo team. The game was at 12pm and it was hot. I got most of the standard shots, which turned out pretty good. I think next time I need to try to get something different. I need to challenge myself.
I’m always looking forward to shooting Shocktoberfest at UCI. This year the concert featured Cold Flamez, Shwayze, and Gym Class Heros. Personally I though it was better than last year.
Throughout this week I have been switching cameras every couple days. I’ve been shooting with a Canon 5D MKII for a video project that I’ve been working on. The photo editor Brandon Wong called me up and asked me if I could cover a meeting between UC President Mark Yudof and students from UCI, UCLA, UCSD and UCR. I was excited to finally get out and shoot some news, something other than sports. Continue reading ‘yudof comes to UCI…protests and high security’
UCI Women’s Volleyball is on the rise. They have been ranked in the top 25 since the beginning of the year. I have been taking interns with me recently on every assignment. For the volleyball game I was lucky enough to get paired up with one of the residents from my dorm, Rashmi Guttal.
The mens volleyball team was present at the game and were dressed to impress, ready to support the womens team. Its been a while since I shot in Crawford and with my new camera it was awesome!
