JE Model: James Clarke

August 8, 2013 in Photography, Work

My friend James recently moved up to San Francisco and joined JE Model to pick up some gigs on the side. He asked me if I could take some photos for his portfolio and of course I was down. His management sent me a mood board which had a bunch of examples of other lifestyle photos that they wanted him to have. I knew that the old Naval Air Base in Alameda would be the perfect place to go for locations. The whole place is filled with interesting building, textures and colors.

I really like shooting lifestyle photographs; being able to create something between people, the environment and the camera. I’m still learning to work with models, how to direct them and how to make them comfortable. And I think making myself comfortable comes with getting better at all those other things.
