Just like being back in school
The UC Irvine Women’s Soccer team recently played in the Stanford-Nike Invitational Tournament. My friend and fellow photographer Lee got us passes through the Big West to shoot the match. This was UCI’s best season start, ranked 11th in the country and undefeated up until this game when they lost 2-0 to undefeated 2nd nationally ranked team, Stanford. It felt good to be shooting sports again, and with long glass thanks to our friend and professional photographer Michael Chen.
I was quickly reminded of how tired my face gets when I’m shooting in the sun for a couple hours. Going out and shooting this game brought back the feeling of being down at school. I didn’t have anything distracting me or weighing heavily on my mind, I was just having fun being focused on the game and getting some good shots.
