bigger is not always better
Last week our Mens Volleyball team played in Crawford instead of the Bren Events Center. Crawford is more like a high school gym, which would lead you to assume is dark, smaller, and less inviting to shoot in.
Its not too bad. In fact, I like it a lot. Especially for volleyball. The lighting is pretty decent, there is a stage on one side that you can stand on, and you can get close to the action. The angle is pretty unique considering that I’m shooting with a 70-200mm. If I was shooting in the bren, I would have to shoot with at least a 300mm, which I can’t afford. Shooting in here lets me compose tight images which is something that I’m always working on.
